about

Founded in late 2015 by young Aidan Ryan (better known by his production alias Tubz) M62 Records are set to begin infiltrating the UK Bass music scene with an arsenal of club-razing tracks set for release in early 2016. Just like the artist’s own catalog, the brand specializes in incisive, infectious, and incendiary tracks. With speakers blaring and guns blazing, the assault is fully underway.

For Tubz, M62 Records stands out as an extension of his revered and applauded musical persona. “I come from the dark influenced side of UKG and Bassline, and I’m trying to create a haven for that style,” he explains. “There are many incredible young producers on the rise in Merseyside. I want to elevate them and promote them. If I’m listening to a track in my home, in a club or on my way to work and I am vibing it, the chances are I’m likely to sign it and release it.”

With a release date for the first record set for 30/01/2016, M62 Records will be holding their launch party the night before at Liverpool’s most favoured independent venue, 24 Kitchen Street, nightclub owner Ioan Roberts stated 'Liverpool is beginning to develop a vibrant underground grime and bass music scene, with a host of regular, well attended events and with plenty of artists posting their tunes on youtube and on soundcloud. M62 will provide a vital platform for them to properly release their tracks, and hopefully begin to receive more attention from the wider music community, both within Liverpool, and on a regional and national level.”

In a nutshell, M62 Records stand primed to blow the doors open for a whole new movement in UK Bass music.
